Brighton MTB Team athletes are expected to be the most polite, friendly, and respectful cyclists in their communities. We care deeply about this team, the land that we use, and the people that we represent. We are a diverse group tied together by a common love for cycling.

Disrespect in any form will not be tolerated. Your actions are a reflection of your character, and our standard of character is exacting. Violation of our terms of engagement may result in suspension or expulsion from the Brighton MTB Team.

I agree to respect trail and land-use rules. In particular, I agree to yield to runners, hikers, and horses, and to yield to all uphill traffic when traveling downhill.

I agree to ride within the limits of my skills and common courtesy, particularly in hazardous areas like blind corners and heavily traveled areas.

I agree to verbally confirm my presence to other trail users as safety and courtesy dictate, and to thank other trail users who are kind enough to let me pass.

I agree to behave courteously and safely in public spaces like parking lots, particularly when I am with, or representing Brighton MTB Team. I will keep cool tricks to a tasteful minimum.

I agree to obey all traffic laws and to ride safely when riding on roads.

I agree to follow the directions of my coaches and ride leaders. I will not argue over routes and/or suggested ride plans unless they are unaware of any clear and present risk of danger.

I agree to be kind, cool, and respectful to my teammates, trail users, competitors, race officials, and anyone else that I interact with within the scope of my participation with Brighton MTB Team.

I agree to be a good steward of the land that I use when recreating outdoors. I will not damage, defile, or otherwise harm or diminish the land or infrastructure that I use.

I fully understand and acknowledge that a failure to adhere to any of the above agreements, or to any other dictate of common courtesy, safety, or respect, will result in suspension of my participation with Brighton MTB Team, up to and including dismissal, at the discretion of team leadership.

This is a 100% volunteer organization on a team level. All coaches are volunteers, and in order to run the team we need every parent's help. If your child is on the team, YOU are on the team!

I agree to volunteer at a minimum by doing all of the following:

- Volunteer for practice snacks 2 times.

- Volunteer for the Brighton MTB Team at 2 races.

- Volunteer for NICA at 1 race per athlete.

I agree to be kind, cool, and respectful to athletes, coaches, race officials, and anyone else that I interact with within the scope of my participation with Brighton MTB Team. I recognize that poor behavior at the races can result in a team penalty for the Brighton MTB Team.

I agree to follow the same code of conduct as described in the form above for the athletes when representing the team as a coach, rider with the team, when wearing team gear, as a volunteer, or spectator of the team.

2025 Season Brighton MTB Team Fee (separate from NICA Fee)

Brighton MTB Team Fee $400

Team fees are non-refundable. If you secure Sponsorships of $500 or more, you may be eligible for reimbursement of partial or full team fees. Please see Sponsorship Page for more details. NICA fees are not included.
